New Jersey Comprehensive Climate Action Plan Community Dialogue

April 23, 2025 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Metuchen, Edison, Piscataway Branch of the NAACP, in partnership with NJDEP, is hosting a listening session on Wednesday, April 23rd to discuss climate action and air pollution priorities in New Jersey. Feedback from the session will help shape New Jersey’s Comprehensive Climate Action Plan – which will be released at the end of the year.

September 7 - 12, 2025

This week-long event serves American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes in the space of health – behavioral and public health. The conference will showcase the interconnectedness of policy, advocacy, and Indian health best practices. Programming includes tribal listening and consultation sessions, hands-on training opportunities, plenary sessions, and workshops that cover timely topics such as funding for Indian Health, the business of medicine, health equity, Indigenous determinants of health, Tribal public health, behavioral health, culture, environmental health, and climate change. Tribal Scholars for Health and Sustainability Student Training Program

The National Indian Health Board is excited to offer a unique educational opportunity designed to give students first-hand experience addressing health and policy needs of Tribal Communities. This program aims to support students who are passionate about public health and policy, with special focus on critical issues affecting American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Environmental Justice Advisory Council (EJAC) Public Meeting Series

Are you a New Jersey resident? The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Environmental Justice Advisory Council (EJAC) wants to hear from you! EJAC is hosting its first public meeting in April 2025. The purpose of the public meeting series is to solicit feedback from residents on a range of priority issues impacting overburdened communities (OBCs) to understand relevant knowledge and programmatic gaps. Insights from these meetings will better inform the Council’s advice to DEP on the agency’s programming and may prompt project deliverables. Please fill out the above survey to help guide the upcoming discussions and get involved in the EJAC.
