Q: Why do I need to create a Username and Password to access the Learning Center?

A: The WE ACT TCTAC Learning Center allows participants to complete five distinct courses in building their environmental justice knowledge and organizational capacity. In order to chart your progress and help us asses which courses are most accessed, we request that you set up a login and password. Please reach out to ejtctac@weact.org with additional concerns. 

Q: Does the WE ACT TCTAC provide on-demand organizational trainings (virtual or in-person)?

A: The WE ACT TCTAC offers one-on-one technical assistance tailored to your needs but does not design organizational trainings for closed groups. Our virtual and in-person trainings are open to the public.

Q: What services does the WE ACT TCTAC provide?

A: WE ACT TCTAC provides the following services:

  • Virtual Trainings The WE ACT TCTAC offers monthly virtual trainings covering various topics. These trainings are open to the public and typically designed for beginners or intermediate learners.
  • In-person Trainings The WE ACT TCTAC organizes regional in-person training sessions through our Community Voices participants. These trainings are tailored to the local community’s specific environmental or energy justice needs. 
  • One-on-one Technical Assistance The WE ACT TCTAC provides personalized, ongoing technical assistance to support a specific group’s needs, whether addressing a health issue, developing an environmental justice project, or applying for funding opportunities.

Q: Does the WE ACT TCTAC give grants?

A: The WE ACT TCTAC does not provide grants or direct funding for projects. However, through training and one-on-one technical assistance we help community-based organizations build the capacity to apply for grants and various funding opportunities, including federal, state, local, and private sources.

Q: Can the WE ACT TCTAC write my grant application for me?

A: No, the WE ACT TCTAC cannot write your grant application for you. However, we can guide you throughout the application process, including assisting you through registration on grant websites, developing and reviewing your application, and submitting the final application.
